Last October 17, Intelligent Data had the opportunity to participate in the II National Conference on Falls held at the Hospital Universitario Príncipe de Asturias in Alcalá de Henares.

This training event, organized by the Spanish Institute of Nursing Research (INCAHES) and the and the General Council of Nursing (CGE)focused on the prevention of falls and the different innovations that are being introduced in this field on a daily basis. It was attended by a multitude of multidisciplinary professionals, such as occupational therapists, managers and nurses, as well as experts from companies in the health sector.

Intelligent Data was represented at the event by Carmen Jiménez, our director of innovation and business development, who participated in the presentation "Study of falls in hospitals". A table held thanks to the progress of the INCAHES Study, a research project born from the need to raise awareness of the magnitude that has for health and the real problem that falls mean in our country. Among the participants of the same, were:

Innovation in the prevention of falls in hospitals

Carmen Jiménez gave a presentation on the importance of hospitals and private companies working together to innovate in the prevention of falls and assistance to users in the event of an accident. During the presentation, he showed the benefits of wearable devices such as our ID Vita smartwatch, thanks to its fall sensor and its ability to make calls to contact users in any situation. This type of adapted devices allow us to offer proactive assistance to users and to assist them as quickly as possible at any time. In addition, our innovation director delved into the new possibilities that Artificial Intelligence is offering when it comes to helping to detect and prevent the risk of a person suffering a fall, as well as other uses with devices such as our ID Vita smartwatch.
