Artificial Intelligence for Defense
Defense and Security
Situational awareness determines the outcome of an operation. We apply artificial intelligence to understand the combat environment: the system observes and interprets, and highlights what matters. This frees up the commander’s attention to make decisions and take action.
Our Approach
How We Approach the Industry
Four design principles that we apply to all our defense projects.
The operator at the center
Modular and interoperable
Edge Processing
On the existing platform
The Challenge
The problem isn't a lack of information
Human capabilities are being overwhelmed
A single drone generates more information and metadata than a team of people can review in real time. The bottleneck isn't the sensor—it's the operator.
Communications that are degraded or subject to interference
Any solution that relies on remote services ceases to function when the connection deteriorates or is lost. The decision, however, cannot wait.
Sovereign Information
Operational information requires national control: over the data and the technology that processes it. Outsourcing it is not an option: it is a matter of data sovereignty.
The advantage isn't in having more information.
It's about understanding it first.
Capabilities
Enabling Technologies

Multispectral computer vision
Detection and tracking of objects of interest by combining visible and infrared spectra, under any lighting conditions.

Merging Sensors and Metadata
Integration of various image, telemetry, and metadata sources into a single, coherent representation

Local Language Models
Ability to reason based on available information, without connecting to external services or sending data.

Natural Language Voice Interaction
On-device voice recognition and synthesis, so you can access information and receive notifications hands-free and without taking your eyes off the road.

Autonomy and Coordination of Unmanned Platforms
Management of multiple platforms as a coordinated system, focused on monitoring and early warning.

Electronic Engineering, Certification, and Industrialization
Design, certification, and production of equipment for demanding environments, with an in-house engineering department.
IronView
Due to the nature of the industry, IronView's technical information is not publicly available. We share documentation, functional scope, and demonstrations with qualified organizations, units, and integrators, subject to a confidentiality agreement.
Areas of Application
Scenarios in which our capabilities add value from the very first deployment.
Drone-vs.-Drone Combat
The assistant detects and classifies enemy UAS threats in real time, alerts the operator via voice, and coordinates the swarm's response without manual intervention.
Light Surveillance and Reconnaissance
Rapid scanning of large areas and prioritization of points of interest for ground teams.
Nighttime Operation in Conditions of Reduced Visibility
Continuity of observation when light, smoke, or weather conditions are no longer favorable.
Support for Deployed Units
Monitoring the immediate surroundings and providing early warning, so that the unit can remain focused on its mission.
Protection of Critical Routes and Infrastructure
Monitoring of routes, access points, and perimeters with alerts in the event of unusual activity.
Impaired navigation and communications
Standalone operation when satellite positioning and data links are unavailable.
Why Intelligent Data?
Intelligent Data has been developing its own technology for over 30 years. It has been 100% Spanish-owned since its inception, with design and manufacturing taking place in Spain.
Since 1993
Founded by telecommunications engineers, with more than three decades of experience in electronic engineering and R&D&I.
Spanish Technology
In-house development, without reliance on suppliers or export licenses from third countries.
Artificial Intelligence in Manufacturing
Platforms, models, and virtual assistants deployed in regulated and demanding industries.
Recognized R&D&I
"Innovative SME" designation from the Ministry of Science and Innovation and an ongoing partnership with the University of Alcalá.
Design and Certification
Proven experience in product certification processes and design recognized with international awards.
In-house manufacturing capacity
Department of Industrialization and Production, with manufacturing in Spain.
Certified processes at every level
At Defensa, information security isn't an afterthought—it's a prerequisite. Our processes are certified under the National Security Scheme (MEDIUM category) and ISO 27001, and are independently audited to the same rigorous standards we apply to every AI model we deploy at the edge.
Our Commitment to Innovation
Intelligent Data is a partner of the Artificial Intelligence Cluster of the Community of Madrid. We are part of the ecosystem that drives the development and responsible application of AI, with the goal of ensuring that cutting-edge technology in this field is conceived and built in Spain.
Intelligent Data is part of the Defense Industry Cluster. We share with the other members a commitment to strengthening a national defense industry that is autonomous, technologically sovereign, and capable of competing on equal footing on the international stage.
Data Sovereignty and Compliance
Our solutions are designed to ensure that operational data remains where it is generated and under the client’s control, with a focus on integration into the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) interoperability chains and the national information security framework. The specific scope of compliance is defined and validated with each client based on the platform and use case.
How We Understand Technological Sovereignty
Data Sovereignty: Resilience is a requirement, not an option. The decision is always a human one.
Let's talk about your operational needs
If you work for an agency, unit, or company in this sector and would like to explore how to apply these skills to a specific problem, the quickest way is to have a conversation. We respond to requests from identified organizations and sign a confidentiality agreement before going into detail.
