After beginning our relationship with ONCE in 2012, we have come a long way in seeking to improve, with each new iteration, the accessibility possibilities of the new POS terminals adapted to the needs of the users of the ONCE along with Telefónica, Zelenza y Fujitsu SpainThis is a project that promotes the technological capacity of our country's industry.

With Smartlottery AdvancedWith our new Smartlottery model, we seek to continue this trend of integrated design thanks to the feedback of our customers and the opinions of their end users, incorporating innovations within the field of accessibility within the device itself.

Among the main novelties of the new POS, we highlight some Braille guides on the device's own touch screen and on its housing. If the user wishes to use the classic mechanical keyboard with braille markings from our previous devices, Smartlottery Advanced allows the user to change their keyboard to suit this choice.

Another unique innovation within this device is the Euro bill validator, which sends audible warnings to the user. As explained by Gloria Vizárraga, an ONCE worker, in a publication of the Telefónica's blogIn addition, these terminals represent a paradigm shift for vendors, thanks to the new accessibility possibilities especially designed for their end users.

"The POS has been an indispensable working tool for me. I cannot work without it. It's a brutal advance. For me it's accessibility, especially for the voice. The voice for blind people is fundamental. And then, the keyboard is very marked, there is the C for cancel, the E for validate, and the 5 that serves as a reference on the keyboard, " he concludes.

In general terms, our devices have made life easier for ONCE vendors for the last 8 years by offering them the possibility of carrying out all kinds of tasks much more quickly and, of course, in an accessible way.

We have thought about the long working days checking and selling products, for this reason we incorporated a high efficiency barcode reader, together with an actuator button on the side. This improvement in design makes the device easier to use and also reduces the gestures required when using it, as well as the risk of injury due to prolonged use.

"The POS allows you to: see if the coupon or scratch-off is a winner, and tell the customer 'you've got so much'. Collect it. It allows the customer to choose a specific number and you can take it from the POS. They can ask you what number came out yesterday, and the POS will tell you. Save time in returning the coupons, because in the past you had to go to the territorial delegation or to the agency, hour or two that you spent there. Now you can do it quietly from your home or from your point of sale. And that time that you save and that you can have for yourself and for your personal life. The work is much more effective and efficient ".

Currently in the pilot test phase, we highlight Smartlottery Advanced for its robust and ergonomic design thought of its users with the following main features:

  • Large touch screen with Braille accessible markings. 4G communications, Wifi, Bluetooth.
  • Improvements in connectivity and NFC technology
  • Optional mechanical keyboard.
  • High-performance barcode reader and shortcut button for improved usability.
  • 80-millimeter printer.
  • Text-to-Speech converter, and high-powered hands-free sound.
  • Help request button.
  • Android operating system.

From Intelligent Data, we will continue working with enthusiasm and dedication together with ONCE, Telefónica, Zelenza and Fujitsu España to continue improving the quality of life of vendors and the rest of the users of society, in a technological and industrial project that is clearly Made in Spain.
