We are delighted to announce the winner of our first IDeas competition focused on the Telecare sector.

First of all, we would like to thank all the participants of this competition for sending us their innovative ideas within the telecare sector and for sharing their experiences with us.

Without further ado, we announce the winner of this IDeas contest:

  • Nuria Ruiz Molina

In her report, the winner proposes an integral telecare system composed of a smart speaker with a screen and a smart bracelet. In this way, the system would offer a service in the same ecosystem and adapted to the needs of the end user.

On the one hand, «The smart speaker allows the person through a voice assistant to ask to contact a family member, call the telecare service, call the health center or emergencies."and the rest of the communication functionalities available in similar devices.

In a complementary way, Nuria proposes the use of an intelligent tablet focused on people who do not use the voice to communicate (deaf people, people with cerebral palsy, people with cognitive impairment or other groups that use the SAAC's to communicate).

«We will be able to make our own telecare service configurable with words, pictograms or real images, according to the needs of the person.».

Finally, the last piece of this ecosystem is a smart wristband. «The bracelet will monitor a person's activity, have motion sensors to detect inactivity, have GPS locator and a physical button that when held down will call 911 and in turn turn turn on a red light and emit a prolonged vibration warning that help is on the way».
